We all know the frustration a loose output jack can cause. How the slightest movements can cause your audio to annoyingly cut in and out. If you have not experienced this yet, it is not a question of if, but rather when your jack will become loose. With enough amplified playing your output jack will unavoidably become loose. Good thing this is generally an easy fix!
What you will need:
- Needle Nose Pliers or Socket Wrench
- Phillips Screwdriver
First, locate your output jack. This should be an easy step.
Next, unscrew the entire jack assembly and remove it from the body of the guitar without putting too much strain on the cords.
Now, grip the nut with the pliers (you can also use a socket wrench here) and grip the sleeve of the jack with the other hand.
Tighten assembly as needed by turning each hand in opposite directions.
Reattach the jack assembly to the guitar body.
You are now ready to jam without a pesky loose output jack!
